Discovering Oaxacalifornia, a seafood restaurant nestled in San Agustin de Las Juntas, is akin to uncovering a hidden treasure in Oaxaca's culinary scene. Patrons rave about its intriguing menu that creatively blends local ingredients with international flair. One standout item is the unique ceviche, which artfully incorporates carrot juice and tropical fruits, setting it apart from traditional offerings. Each meal begins with complimentary soup and chips, enhancing the inclusive dining experience.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for any occasion—breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Guests like Mark Wilber praise the restaurant’s dedication to flavor in every dish, while others like Laura Langdon appreciate the reasonable prices paired with high-quality servings. Although some dishes, such as Fideos chinos con camarón, may lean towards the salty side, the overall menu shines with options like the impeccably cooked Pesca del día with white wine sauce.
With a full bar serving cocktails, mezcal, and craft beer, along with attentive service, Oaxacalifornia isn’t just a meal; it’s a gastronomic adventure worth embarking on. Don’t miss this culinary gem on your next visit to Oaxaca!

This place offers interesting dishes at reasonable prices. It's not cheap, but a good value for what you get. I got a ceviche which was quite different than normal. It was made with carrot juice and had tropical fruits in it. You get a nice soup and chips for free enjoy while you wait for your food. A great selection of liquors, cocktails, wine, and craft beer. Free WiFi and classy bathrooms

Delicous food, nice atmophere. We came between lunch and dinner, so it was quiet. There's a parking specifically for the restaurant and the mini-mall it's in. My husband's dish was on the salty side: "Fideos chinos con camaron; pimiento morron, jengibre, chile de arbol, cacahuate, salsa de soya, apio". But mine was amazing: "Pesca del dia; salsa de vino blanco, papas, setas." Perfectly cooked. We also had oysters for starting, very yummy. We also had drinks. If you park downstairs in the lot, you come in from stairs at the back of the mini-mall, walk towards the front (the road), then you'll see a decorated arch and stairs going up. That's the restaurant entrance. Don't go out to the street.

Highly recommend this hidden gem! Great restaurant experience with excellent service and a creative, flavorful menu. Great spot for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant also offers a full bar featuring cocktails, mezcal, and beer. Parking is available onsite; two hours free with validation from the restaurant or one of the several shops located at ground level.

Stopped here on my way to the airport and only got the fried rice and a maracuya drink. Service was top notch but the rice was delicious with lots of seafood. Gotta say this is the best fried rice in Mexico.

The fish tacos were delicious! Bonus free appetizer was great with moles to try out. Not too impressed with our dessert but every from service to atmosphere was great. Will recommend.

Another restaurant by chef Alejandro Ruiz from Casa Oaxaca. This one is perfect for breakfast on your way to the airport (it’s a 10 minute taxi ride from the center of the city). Service is great, lighting and decoration simple and cozy. Food is delicious and well thought. We had an omelette and quesadillas which were awesome but the huevos motulenos were my favorite by far.
